£45 Million Trinity Gardens to create 2000 jobs

A major development, based on the land behind the Newcastle Law Courts has been given the go ahead, creating 2000 new jobs in the process.

The £45mTrinity Gardens development, may soon no longer be only a proposal, after the council signed over the ownership of the land to Silverlink Property Developments.

Detailed plans are now set to go before councillors and work will start on site in June.

The mixed scheme will include a five-storey office block featuring a glazed atrium with ground floor retail space and associated cafes-bistros.

Over 50 luxury apartments, a multi-storey car park and cosmopolitan hotel are also included in the plans.

The scheme will feature major pieces of sculpture by an internationally renowned artist, with further details being unveiled in the next few months.
